Meet The Team

William H. Smythe IV, DMD

Dr. William Smythe graduated from University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 1996. Dr. Bill then entered into private practice with his Father and Brother. Dr. Bill became the fourth generation dentist going back to his Great Grandfather in West Virginia. You can see a picture and chair from where it all started in Dr. Bill’s practice. Dr. Bill continues to utilize cutting edge techniques and materials while never forgetting the basics of old fashion care and concern because he understands every patients is unique.

Having practiced for 25 years in the same location in the South End of Louisville, Dr. Bill has maintained the highest level of treatment by attending Continuing Education and Advanced Training Courses in dental health in order to offer the very best for his patients.

Dr. Bill, in his free time enjoys his farm, the outdoors, his dogs, the water and the beach.

Karen – Office Manager

Karen spent twenty years as a Customer Service Agent with Northwest Airlines and thirteen years as a dental office manager in another dental office before joining our practice. Karen also lives and grew up in the area attending St. Denis and Western High School. She is married with two sons and enjoys photography, spending time with family and friends and relaxing at the pool and beach.

Kyley – Hygienist

Kyley is a 2006 Graduate of Dental Hygiene from Northampton Community College. Kyley has been a Dental Hygienist for 15 years and has been practicing with Dr. Smythe for 11 years. Kyley and her Husband grew up in Virginia where they met in High School. They eventually moved to Kentucky to be close to extended family. Kyley enjoys spending time with her Husband and their 3 sons. Her favorite activities are going to Church, volunteering at her son’s school, just about any activities outside and going to the beach. Kyley loves to get to know her patients as if they are family and spending time just talking to each patient.

Pat – Patient Coordinator

Pat’s from the Okolona area and has been in dentistry for 47 years (She started as a baby). She loves to garden both vegetable and flowers and spending time with her 3 cats all rescues. Her brother helps her till the garden every year and ask her if she is feeding Okolona. She treasures the time spent with her family and friends going out to dinner & just hanging out. She loves all the friends she has made in dentistry over the years and truly treasures all of them. She looks forward making new friends and helping patients with their dental needs in the future.

Leslie – Dental Assistant EDDA / Patient Coordinator

Leslie graduated with her EDDA from Medquest College. She grew up in the area. She has 2 children and enjoys spending quality time with him and her family. She enjoys the outdoors and especially the beach and going to Gatlinburg.
